About Us

We are Mick & Lorna.   

   We are not extreme adventure tourists or travelers. We are a couple who likes to travel around the country with our cat and visit our National Parks, Monuments, and Forests. There are also many State Parks and other recreation areas we have visited. To date (Oct. 2022) we have been to 40 National Parks.

   We live in Southern California and we love getting out in nature. It is the perfect way to renew ourselves, emotionally, physically & spiritually.

Over the past few years, we have taken many trips, some are short around Calif. to local State Parks & National Parks while others have been longer, (5000 to 7000 miles).

   I have to admit that Lorna does most of the logistics with planning the travel stops and reservations and I do most of the driving.

We like to have an itinerary most of the time but sometimes when traveling we’ve made changes. 

   Our enjoyment comes from traveling (with our fur babies), camping with our trailer, and getting out into nature for photography. We love to document our National Park trips with photos. I am an amateur photographer and have had images published in the Sierra Club Calendar, and various magazines and had some underwater images displayed at aquariums,

museums and at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington D. C.
