The Alabama Hills are a favorite destination we love to explore and we use it as a base camp for Exploring the Scenic Owens Valley







Stop 2: The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

This is a beautiful, protected area in the White Mountains on the east side of Owens Valley.









Stop 3: The Volcanic Tablelands, Bishop Ca./Sky Rock Petroglyphs

The rock was hard to find but well worth it and we got a bonus of a spectacular sunrise.








Stop 4: Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve

This was our first time here. the weather was great and the camping was free so no complaining here.









Stop 5: North Lake

Some friends had told me about this lake the year before so we drove up and were not disappointed.
