Sunrise at Point Imperial- Grand Canyon National Park

Updated: May 24

There's nothing quite like experiencing the magic of a sunrise in a new place. During an adventure at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, we made sure to wake up early to catch the sunrise at the Point Imperial Overlook. Although the drive out Cape Royal Road and Point Imperial Road was dark, the breathtaking view that awaited us was well worth it. It was just a short walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint with some stairs leading down to it. The soft light of twilight and the early morning glow painted a beautiful picture, but the moment the sun came up and illuminated the canyon through the clouds truly took our breath away. Moments like these remind us why we love to travel and explore this beautiful world.
